I am so glad I tried Kristin’s Vitalself class, and now I am hooked!  Kristin does a great job of demonstrating the moves as we go, and she is always encouraging us and talking us through possible modifications, if we need them.  I especially like how the moves alternately use tension and release throughout the class.  I was having shoulder problems before I started taking her Vitalself classes, and through the different moves in her class, my shoulder pain has gone away and I have range of motion back.  I am so thankful for that in particular! The legwork is challenging in a good way, and she makes it look so easy!

Kristin's classes have been a great addition to my fitness training, especially for overall mobility and range of motion. I've noticed improvement in my hips, shoulders, and even an old ankle injury. Kristin has great energy and focus on proper form.  Some of the movements are a little unusual, but it's a pleasant flowing workout and I always finish class feeling better both physically and mentally than when I started.

…I am now injury free!

I injured my knee and sprained my ankle four months ago. I wasn’t able to walk without an ankle brace and sturdy shoes. I love running and taking cross training classes at the gym, but couldn’t participate in any of those activities. I decided to give Kristin’s Strength and Stretch class a try. After 6 weeks of taking her class twice a week, I am now injury-free!  I can walk without an ankle brace, hike, and run again. Even though I’ve recovered, I plan to continue this workout because it makes me stronger and more flexible. I look forward to it each week.

Kristin’s class has been helping me tremendously to feel I have more control of my body and posture, of my breathing, and my mind. Her practice helps train us to identify resistance and move through it to get to physical well-being. Two months ago, I tried out Kristin’s Strength and Stretch class for a couple of weeks. I was looking for some variety in my workouts and for something that would help my neck feel less strained after looking down at my phone and my book for long periods of time. I have attended Kristin’s class regularly since then, and I look forward to it each week. Her class makes me feel stronger and less tense, and now that my college classes have begun, I’ve found that it makes for a great midday study break too. Strength and Stretch is a great class for people of all ages and abilities, and I would highly recommend!

My name is Susan and I am 77 years old. I joined Kristen's strength and stretching class 4 months ago and try to attend class 4-5 times a week. I have arthritis and am diagnosed with lupus.I had not exercised in years before this class but now notice how much better I feel in everyday life. I was experiencing lower back pain, neck pain, weakness in muscle strength, and low energy.Being a solo traveler, I could still do a lot of walking on tours and through airports but started noticing my posture was becoming stooped. My daughter-in -law recommended this class to me.
After 4 months I notice these improvements to my body in everyday life:

So many more general improvements as Kristen takes you through the exercises, you visualize your movements which stimulates your brain; you know you are doing something beneficial for your body, Some days of the week the class is 30 minutes;other days are 60 minutes which include mat floor exercises and meditation. Since I am not comfortable on the floor I don't participate in this part of class. Students of all ages and levels take this class. You do what you can; stop when you need to, then jump back in. There is no wrong way, Kristen demonstrates all views of each movement and is a patient, professional and caring teacher. The class includes exercises from head to toe. I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to reconnect with how their body used to feel like years ago.
